Subsidy and documents
Solar subsidy and paperwork, made clear.
What the official scheme requires, which documents you need, and which steps PMP handles for you.
Current scheme
Under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, homes get ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third kW, up to ₹78,000. Systems above 3 kW still get ₹78,000. The subsidy covers grid-connected residential systems, is paid to your bank after inspection, and needs a registered vendor. Figures checked September 2026; confirm on pmsuryaghar.gov.in.
